What's the venue like? GORGEOUS! We have rented out the entirety of Shelter Cove for the event. There are a handful of cabins and amazing campsites. The campsites are all level, have power, picnic table, and fire ring (which you can use unless there is a fire ban). There is also an on site camp store that has limited grocery items, a laundry facility, flushing toilets, shower house and portos, fresh water, and fish cleaning station. The property rents boats, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing supplies, and more. Please note, men and women both work at the location so please be respectful to all staff and workers.

What ticket do I need? Everyone must have a GENERAL ADMISSION ticket to enter the event. The cabins and car/truck trailer sites are ADD ONS which do not come with tickets. 

Tell me about the Cabins! All cabins, except the guest cottage, have a lake view and docks (you can rent a boat and dock it in front of your cabin via the front desk). Cabins have moto parking and car parking available to you. 

What are the check in times? For campers and RVS /Cars/Trailers 12PM. For cabins, 3PM. Feel free to come in a tad early and grab a drink / hand on the dock before check in. However, we will not be OPEN until 12PM for any needs, check ins, questions, or merch <3 

Can I book a boat, paddle board, kayak, or fishing trip with guide? YES!!! You can book any of those items by calling Shelter Cove at 541-433-2548. Fishing is a big deal on this lake and it's know for a specific salmon, Kokanee!

What kind of bikes are welcome? ALL BIKES! Even ADV and dirt bikes (local OHV areas all around you can load up and drive to). Sport bikes, cruisers, choppers, we love them all! Make sure to use the address to find nearby OHV trails and requirements. 

What's up with dining? The Hook and Talon, the on site food option will be serving up "bar food favorites! To check out the menu, tap HERE.

What's the weather like in that area early Oct. When I visited last year at this exact time, they call it Indian Summer. Warm days of high 70s and cool nights at around 50. As we all know, weather does ebb and flow so we never really know what to expect until week of. If you are a fair weather rider (no shame in that) this may not be a great event for you as we can never predict perfect conditions. Make good decisions for  yourself and your comfort levels. It could very well be be colder, hotter, etc. based on what Mother Nature decides that weekend.

Make sure you take a good look at the location via google maps as this beautiful oasis is a little remote. 

Cell service? Verizon seemed to work pretty good and the WIFI was a bit spotty. The best WIFI connection is next to the camp store.

Is the event rain or shine? YES! Rain or shine we ride! There is always a chance of smokey conditions due to possible wild fires depending on what Mother Nature sends our way. If you have lung or health issues, get the purchase protection as we are not able to refund due to air quality due anyone's health issues to pertain to it. 

Are tickets or cabins etc. refundable or transferable to another event? No, under no circumstance are tickets refundable. You have the option to purchase additional protection so please use it. Do you have day passes? We do not, come for any time you wish with a General Admission pass.

What's the vibe? It's a riding event. We do not have entertainment or "stuff to do" on site during riding hours. Light entertainment will be on Friday and Saturday night but it's not an event focused on shopping etc. Due to space, we don't have moto games / this event is more like the Borrego event with limited programing but tons of fun. To be 100% transparent we are G rated and expect to possibly see a staff members child wander through. No nudity, toplessness or shenanigans are welcome here. It's a family operated venue with both men and women working at the venue to ensure we have a great time. This is not the place or venue to "get wild", that's never been our vibe and we don't want you to think it's a place where anything goes. We will remove you from the event immediately if you can't handle being in an environment that's chill and low key. No revving engines, drunken behavior, nudity, rudeness, screaming, yelling, or flat out bullshit behavior is allowed, period xoxo! 

Can I request a specific campsite or call the venue to secure a specific spot? Sadly no, we have to re-work the entire camp site map to ensure we can use the space in a much different way than they use it :) Please do not contact the venue about cabins or camping sites. 

Can I come early? We kindly ask no one arrives early who is not working the event. We are a very small team, hi! just me, and any distractions are debilitating to the short amount of time I have to get the venue ready for ya! Next year might be different. I want to shoot, take video, do a social media takeover for this event for a brand, magazine, online editorial, etc. Do I need permission? This is a private event so no outside commercial use.

Can I bring my kids and pets? Nope, the event is not kid / pet friendly :(

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Must be 18+ to attend and have valid ID to have a drink. 

What CAN'T I bring to the event? Weapons, signage, flags, banners, fireworks, pets, kids, a bad attitude, hand-outs for a brand or marketing materials of any kind.

I am transgender, transitioning or consider myself non-binary, am I still welcome to come? 100% yes! “Ladies” is the best we have found to make it clear who this event is geared for. We understand that gender is fluid and trust that the moto community can make the distinction as they have over our past 12 years hosting the events.

Zero Tolerance: All Babes Ride Out events have a zero-tolerance policy for any hate speech or violence whatsoever. We have never had a problem with this at any of our events but we feel that it is important to reiterate that racism, homophobia, bigotry, aggressive behavior towards anyone and/or anything that resembles it is not welcome ever at any of our events.
